Bill Andres
Prior to moving into public relations and media training, Bill Andres
was an Emmy-winning television reporter at KPNX-TV 12 (NBC). He
also enjoyed a long career as a successful morning drive radio host
and radio news director in Ohio, Michigan and Arizona. He started
Andres Associates in 1982 as a sideline business, creating radio
and television advertisements for clients in Arizona, Nevada and
Colorado.
In 2005 the company was reborn when Andres left his long-time position
as Senior Partner at B.J. Communications, Inc., an award-winning
public relations company headquartered in Phoenix. Bill’s
public relations expertise includes media training, crisis communications,
media negotiation, issues management, community relations and audio
and video production. His experiences on “both sides”
of the media have given him an array of insights that work to his
clients’ advantage.
Bill has won numerous awards, both for professional excellence
and community service. He has been named as a recipient of the 2007
Hon Kachina, considered Arizona’s most prestigious award for
volunteerism. He also received the 2006 Arizona Governor’s
Volunteer Service Award. He is a member of the Board of Directors
and past president of the Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank
and a founding member of the Men’s Anti-Violence Network (M.A.N.).
Bill is a graduate of Valley Leadership (Class XX), and served on
the Tres Rios Arizona Steering Committee, The Paradise Valley Unified
School District Long-Range Financial Planning Committee and the
Boards of Directors for the Foundation for Burns and Trauma and
Arizona Children’s Burn Camp.
